Homeowners tend to overprice their home because of the emotional factor. Good agents will be able to leverage their knowledge of local real estate in order to help you earn a great price for your home
3. It’s fine to sell your home as-is. You might think your home is in great shape, but you’re probably overlooking some necessary changes that could boost your profits. Improving things like your walls, floors, and kitchen will get you the best ROI.
4. You need to do a gut renovation in order to sell. Simple things make a big difference to homebuyers. Removing personal items is a great way to improve your home without spending a cent.
5. Spring is the best time to sell a home. The truth is that any season can be the best time to sell, depending on the market. In San Diego, homes sell pretty well all year long. We’re still seeing plenty of buyers, even without a lot of inventory.
6. You can rely on an online home estimate. Although online home value estimates give you a good starting point for value, there is no substitute for the expertise of a Realtor. You can’t plug in a standard formula and expect it to give you an accurate result. There are all kinds of variables to consider that online home estimates don’t. Most real estate professionals won’t have a problem giving you a CMA to find your home’s true value.
